Are you a creative communicator with a passion for campaigns? We are seeking a dynamic Communications Officer to lead our external communications and campaigns, manage our corporate social media presence, and support high-quality internal communications.
The Opportunity
As Communications Officer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how we engage with our communities and staff. You’ll lead innovative campaigns using behavioural science to drive awareness and behaviour change, produce compelling content across digital and traditional channels and act as the first point of contact for media enquiries.
You’ll also support internal communications ensuring our teams are informed and engaged and help maintain our website in line with accessibility and transparency regulations and guidelines.
Some of the things you’ll be involved with:
• Lead and manage campaigns with internal and external stakeholders
• Draft communications plans
• Monitor and evaluate communications using data and insight
• Create engaging content including graphics, photos, and videos
• Write high-quality copy for various channels
• Manage corporate social media accounts
• Handle day to day media enquiries
• Support crisis communications
• Uphold brand identity and deliver communications training
What We’re Looking For
• Proven experience in a communications role
• Strong writing and interpersonal skills
• Ability to produce and edit multimedia content
• Familiarity with digital and non-digital communication channels
• Organised, flexible, and able to meet deadlines
It would be great if you have experience in:
• Professional qualifications in communications, PR, or marketing
• Knowledge of public sector accessibility regulations
• Ability to create basic graphics
• Awareness of best practices in communications and engagement
