What’s Involved in the Role?

As a Volunteer firefighter, you’ll declare the times when you are available to respond to emergencies. During your available hours, you must be within approximately four minutes of the fire station, ensuring a rapid response when duty calls. You’ll also attend a weekly training evening, where you’ll develop your skills and team camaraderie.
